Accessibility statement
PJ Mac Pest Control wants everyone who needs pest control to be able to use this site, including people using a screen reader, keyboard navigation, voice control, or a screen magnifier.
What we aim for
We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our working standard. We test text contrast, keyboard focus order, form labels, image alternative text, and tap target sizes as part of every build of this site.
Where we know we fall short
Embedded third-party content, such as a map, is outside our control and may not meet the same standard. If a third-party embed blocks you, contact us and we will give you the same information directly.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of this site stops you doing what you came to do, we want to hear about it, and we will help you complete your booking by phone or text in the meantime. Call or text (267) 291-6056 or email pjmacpestcontrol@gmail.com. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will fix it or find you another way through.
Getting the same information another way
If any part of this site is unusable for you, we will give you the same information directly and complete the whole booking by phone. That includes reading out service details, confirming an appointment window, and taking the property details we would otherwise collect through the site. Call (267) 291-6056 and say that you are calling because the website was not workable, so we know to handle it that way from the start rather than directing you back to a page.
What we check on every build
Before a change goes live we check text contrast against the WCAG AA thresholds, that every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard alone in a sensible order, that the visible focus indicator is never removed, that every form control has a programmatically associated label, that images carry meaningful alternative text or are marked decorative, and that tap targets are large enough to hit reliably on a phone. Form fields are set at a 16 pixel minimum, because smaller text makes iOS Safari zoom the page on focus and the visitor loses their place.
Known limitations
We are telling you these rather than waiting to be asked. Third-party embedded content is outside our control and may not meet the same standard. Automated checks cannot confirm that alternative text is genuinely useful rather than merely present, so that judgement is a manual one and we may get it wrong on a given image. If you find either problem, tell us and we will fix the specific case.
